Alex Greenwich MP: HSH Supporter Spotlight
Head Start Homes is powered by our wonderful network of passionate and dedicated supporters who are committed to bringing about meaningful change as we strive for an Australia where everyone has access to a safe and stable home.
Today we give thanks to Alex Greenwich, MP, the Independent State Member for Sydney, for his ongoing support and dedication.
Alex is committed to working for a liveable, sustainable, and progressive Sydney for all. He’s passionate about ending homelessness and is a Member on the Premier’s Council on Homelessness, where he works with peak bodies, support services and the government to establish policies and plans to address homelessness.
Many people may also recognise Alex through his participation in the SBS series, ‘Filthy Rich & Homeless’, which offered an honest exploration of the realities of homelessness in Sydney, looking at the barriers and obstacles that vulnerable people face in their journey to secure a roof over their head and a safe place to sleep each night.
We invite you to take a minute to hear what Alex had to say at our latest AGM, in regards to Australia’s growing need for housing for our most vulnerable, and the flow on benefits that are released by current community housing tenants progressing their dreams of home ownership.
We love Alex’s passion for focusing on solutions rather than becoming overwhelmed by the problems of homelessness and housing insecurity. Thank you, Alex, for your ongoing support!
