Snow Foundation and Head Start Homes enter into a major funding agreement

Home ownership will become a reality for more vulnerable people, thanks to the generosity of The Snow Foundation, which has provided Head Start Homes with a grant of $200,000 over the next two years.

Stephen Woodlands, Founder and Managing Director for Head Start Homes

Head Start Homes (HSH) Founder and Managing Director, Stephen Woodlands, said the funds would go towards supporting clients on their home ownership journey.

“Our vision is for a safe and stable home for everyone with fair and practical pathways to home ownership,” he said.

“This very generous support from The Snow Foundation means we can help even more lower income families in need with our Empowerment Products and Services so that they can achieve their homeownership dreams and exit rental accommodation.”

“We are incredibly grateful to The Snow Foundation, who are now considered one of our Platinum Partners.”

Georgina Byron AM, Chief Executive Officer, The Snow Foundation

Snow Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Georgina Byron AM, said she looked forward to working with Head Start Homes on their shared objectives, and overcoming obstacles together.

“Head Start Homes encourages and enables people in social and affordable housing to work towards owning their own home - something that many of them may never have considered possible,” she said.

“Already, thanks to this excellent initiative, six families have been able to purchase their own home, and the first two loan guarantees have been recycled for the next families.”
