HSH Presents at Dragons' NRLW Pre-Season Camp

Head Start Homes was thrilled to attend the St George Illawarra Dragons NRLW pre-season camp ahead of the 2023 NRL Women’s Premiership Season to present a seminar on “pathways to home ownership”.

St.George Bank is the major partner of the NRL and NRLW St George Illawarra Dragons, and the bank’s partnership with the NRLW team began in 2018.

In a first for any NRLW team, St.George Bank gave the team the opportunity to participate in a training camp ahead of the season

The Dragons NRLW 2023 squad consists of 25 dedicated and passionate women, supported by five development players.

Most of these players have full time jobs, are parents, or often drive long distances to attend training and games each week to participate in the sport.

Cheryl Beddoes, Regional General Manager at the Westpac Group, said:

“Creating stronger financial futures for all Australians is so important, and I know the team were incredibly grateful for the time Head Start Homes spent with them. When you see every person in the room taking notes and engaged, you know it’s been a valuable session, and we’re here to help the team if they need anything in future. “

“These young women are trailblazers and a true inspiration, and they’ve left a big impression on us all at St.George. “

HSH Founder and Managing Director Stephen Woodlands said it was wonderful to meet the Dragons players and staff.

“A huge thanks to the players and staff for listening and being engaged with our homeownership pathway.”

“Thanks also to our partner St George Bank for inviting us to be a part of the evening. We wish the Dragons NRLW team a successful season,” he said.
