Social Impact Hub partners with HSH
The Social Impact Hub is proud to be supporting Head Start Homes in developing its “build-to-rent to buy” innovation, called Equity+.
This partnership is funded by the Social Sector Transformation Fund (SSTF), a program supported by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, that allows eligible, not- for-profit organisations to access advisory and information services pro bono.
Head of Mobilising Capital and Operations at the Social Impact Hub, Rob Haggett, will be overseeing the project and said he was delighted to be assisting HSH with the process.
Michael Ryland, Director of the Centre for Social Finance Law, will be providing his legal expertise.
“This is an innovative housing initiative with a lot of different stakeholders looking to make the most impact out of what they contribute. The legal structure needs to be equally innovative to give them the opportunity to do so” he said.
“One of the exciting aspects will be designing legal pathways that will enable HSH to scale up the initiative, on an ongoing basis, to match its ever-growing community of home starters with an equally growing range of homes and investors.”
HSH Founder and Managing Director Stephen Woodlands said he was most appreciative of the knowledgeable support provided by Social Impact Hub and the Centre for Social Finance Law.
“It is through this kind of professional support that we will be able to grow as an organisation and ultimately, provide more home ownership pathways for single mothers and First Nations people and for that we are very grateful,” he said.
