Spreading Christmas Cheer with LinkedIn, CHL and ACHL
Community housing residents in Port Macquarie have received a Christmas gift thanks to a generous donation from LinkedIn which was made possible thanks to Head Start Homes.
The donation consisted of 12 boxes of homewares, which were distributed to Head Start Homes’ clients and other residents of Community Housing Ltd (CHL) and Aboriginal Community Housing Limited (ACHL) in Port Macquarie.
CHL State Manager Megan Davidson said the LinkedIn donation of homewares for ACHL and CHL tenants would make a tangible difference to people experiencing hardship at this time of year.
“This is a difficult time of year for many people who are struggling to make ends meet. We would like to thank the team at LinkedIn for thinking of ACHL and CHL and we know that this donation will be very well received by our tenants and assist them with setting up their homes.”
Adriano Trunzo, LinkedIn Site Leader Australia, said when they were searching for a charity, it was important they donated to a foundation that supported Indigenous communities as well as struggling single parent families.
“When we found Head Start Homes and learned about what they do, we felt this donation would be genuinely appreciated and make a difference to the communities,” he said.
Head Start Homes founder Stephen Woodlands thanked LinkedIn for its generosity.
“We’re always happy when we can help connect the business community with other likeminded charities to help our clients and other families living in community housing. They couldn’t have come at a better time with Christmas upon us,” he said.
