Snow Foundation's generous contribution to Head Start Homes

The Snow Foundation has generously awarded a $50,000 grant to Head Start Homes.

HSH Founder and Managing Director, Stephen Woodlands, said HSH was most grateful for the funding, which would go towards helping expand its Empowerment Services and develop a new “build to rent to buy” model.

“Thanks to this generous grant we will be able to help even more single mums and First Nation families into home ownership, so we extend our heartfelt thanks,” he said.

The Snow Foundation serves as a catalyst for meaningful change, looking for innovative and community-led initiatives that empower communities to drive solutions to the problems they’re facing.

Chief Executive Officer of The Snow Foundation, Georgina Byron, said home ownership and affordable housing was a huge social issue for all of Australia, requiring a range of innovative initiatives to tackle from different angles.

“Stephen’s lived experience of growing up in social housing, along with his passion and energy to make a difference was evident from the first time I met him. Head Start Homes is already helping families enter home ownership and we are delighted we can make a contribution to the program.”

Recently, the Snow Foundation celebrated its 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades, the foundation has made an invaluable contribution to local communities, generating significant positive social change.

Please join us in thanking the Snow Foundation and congratulating them on their 30th anniversary.
