We are pleased to have featured on Win News, highlighting our partnership with Wollongong Council, as part of our Wollongong Recycling Home Ownership Program (WRHOP).  

The council called for tenders for solutions to help with housing affordability and Head Start Homes was successful due to our innovative solutions to help equalise access to home ownership.

We will be providing our Head Start Guarantee as well as our home ownership empowerment services for families in need living in the Wollongong Local Government Area. This means that successful applicants won’t need a deposit or mortgage insurance to purchase a home.

“These funds will be used in the first year to support at least 10 families,” said Head Start Homes Chair, Vanessa Chan.  

The funds committed by Wollongong Council will go towards ensuring that the families can commit to repayments and the deposit payment for the first year, before being circled back to Head Start Homes so that another family can experience the dream of homeownership become reality.
